Bohemian Rhapsody!!....or not

I didn't realise that the bohemian style is coming back again, I liked its difference and when nobody liked it- you stood out more. Now......

there's going to be walking around bohemians everywhere!

oh well, once the fashion craze dies down I'll still be wearing it,

and will probably pull off the crazy-sheweirdo-last-season-look very well. :P

but man don't these clothes look awesome!!

argh fashion, have a great love-hate relationship with it.

Had to make a mad rush for water.

Hey,

I've been out of the blogging buisness for a few days....

This is because I had my driving test...which I had been practising like mad for...and in the end I ended up failing..... :P lol

I had only 1 just one! fail item- I crossed the damned unbroken line- a complete no-brainer not to do, but somehow I managed to do it.

ended up having to fork out 250 for it -I was really tempted to run away with P plates in my hands....

I've realised I've gone off a bit on a money rant so here's something more arty...my incomplete fairy. I drew it a while back but not sure how to continue (I usually ruin faces :( ) so i'm a little scared to continue it.

It was off this picture I found on the internet => Acasca by Darryl L. Taylor

It looked so pretty I had to try and draw it. :) Obviously Darryl's is better, I cant draw the way they do! *whine* such talent, must have taken the guy ages! the lighting and detail :{} ..wow~

So was thinking of naming her to motivate me to complete it.....though not sure what to call her, was thinking Elspeth- (a.k.a Obernewytn inspired) but might be too strange...?

On Monday I came across a site/blog called "how i save money" and got inspired by its cheap ways so here's list of my own top 10 ways I save $$

1. Plastic Shopping bags as bin liners

2. Coupons/freebies
= Shopfree Freebie Site

3. Use Library/College Resources

4.Walk/take bus

5.Using "Off peak" times for most of the electricity

e.g Taking a shower/using dryer at 11pm-12am
(yes I know its obsessive,
but it helps scroogey ppl like me:P)

6. 21 dollar grocery challenge

7. Watching TV for news and a two shows ONLY

-reading ,drawing, writing at other times.

8.Shopping at discount stores/salvos

9.Using pre-paid on Telstra

- text 1c to same network users/phone
- can share credit
(this has helped a lot,
though for addicted users
a plan is probably best)

10. Having an automatic savings plan

- deducts from wages
and
gathers interest on
set amounts per month/yr

This post will be random, but its for my studies= client interview project

The above clip is from my Critial and Creative Thinking subject. With this project I achieved the skills to create a movie clip using the suggested program.(xtra normal, text-to-movie) It taught me to think about my audience and how to present the information to them. It also made me realise that there are different kinds of mediums that can be presented. The use of the internet and different programs available to people makes these different methods very accessible to a wide range of people. I achieved the skills of creating a short interview clip with the xtra normal program, different camera angle positioning and summarizing and editing my original content to make it more effective to the targeted audience.

WEBSITE REVIEW

The website I will review is called "Confessions of A TwiCrack Addict"

This entertaining site is dedicated to a popular book and now a movie phenomenon called 'Twilight' The site posts constantly about absolutely everything and anything twilight related, from the famous author Stephanie Meyer to the dazzeling Edward casted Robert Pattinson. It lures the audience in with catchy and funny titles such as "Chris Weitz Salutes Fans, Banshees Greet RPattz, and Cast Members on Way to Set " or maybe its the fact that it has half naked pictures of Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner (aka Jacob Black)? The much awaited New Moon sequel has set the self-confessed, obsesive compulsive blogger into a much appreciated frenzy, delievering behind-the-scences footage, fan-made trailers and a constant flow of photos. I went to a play in the city-> The Genesian Theatre and saw William Shakespeare's Hamlet. It was really good! Especially the prices for the place. $21.20 (for concession) I think the adult prices were $25 which is pretty good considering this is in the city. It was quite dainty the stage and the place but it had a nice local feel, and I like that better- seems more cosier.

The coffe/tea was also ridiculously cheap, selling for $1.50 each, unheard of in the city. The chocolate bars, $2 bucks.

The performances were great, Hamlet good eye candy as well as entertaining, the Rosencrantz/Guildenstern guy was hilarious, a very funny take on a semi-serious character.

It was a great night out and well worth it.

Hello everyone!!

I thought I'd give some helpful tips on money saving websites, I have a few located on this blog under the title "Money Saving Websites"

1st up the Australian Gov site is

The Good

- useful and user friendly- they've tried to make it colourful and fun, and compared to the other parts of their site, they've done pretty well.

- it also has a budget planner- really handy if you're an implusive buyer like me :P

- makes you more organised

The Bad

-General in its information

The Ugly #%@

- Colour- even though it tried the colours are a bit off. -especially the background! argh its too bland, needs splashes of yellow or blue!

2nd is simple savings website

The Good

- this one is funny- love the graphics- they've got a funny basic charm. (yes i'm rating the cartoons)

- It has some pdf files that have money saving tips and motivators

- Has advice and tips for all age groups e.g. from families to students, single parents, everyone and anyone that wants to save.

-Has competitions for members and gives cash rewards, reasonable amount too, not ridiculous amounts that are hard to believe or too little.

- you have options 1- sign up free- receive daily hint emails or 2- pay and receive access to 'vault' privileges.

- they actually have a $21 dollar challenge for a whole week of grocery shopping, and give out prizes/ rewards for people who enter with ways of how they saved using this method.

The Bad

- I've currently signed up with them for free and it'd say I'd want more, but I'm too scroogy to go for the pay option :P

The Ugly #%@

-Its not too ulgy at the moment, aside from the text. I would actually recommend it if anything. It has some useful advice and pdfs.

A Gloomy Afternoon

Well, just thought I'd update this blog and its the perfect weather for it! Dark clouds, so cold I can see my breath blowing out of my mouth! And wet, wet, rainy weather. Just perfect.

So far have made attempt 1 of kyoko anime, but won't post it because its really shit. The eyes look too wide and glazy, kinda like a demented ferby. its very scary....but I will attempt again, then see if is actually recognisable as anime.

neways while browsing I found this site called newgrounds (orignal song by John Murphy and the author/artist in the website is Back-From-Purgatory) It has the artists work on the 28 days later Theme. Really cool cover song, although why an angry yellow bobbing face is used in the animation is beyond me.

well I have work to do, and I'm procrastinating again
